Hi, my name is Peter Bailey. I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia and I'm a complete geek.

Building clean, functional web sites is my passion. I offer years of experience in many of the popular web technologies - PHP, perl, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, mySql - just to name a few of my favorite areas of particular expertise. I develop for clients all over the world in my home office. I understand web standards, cross-browser issues, and SEO.

I'm experienced with many of the popular blog tools, publishing platforms and CMS - particularly WordPress, for which I have designed and implemented many custom themes and plugins.

I'm experienced with many popular shopping carts, particularly Shopify, as well as other e-commerce strategies, and can set up your shop from scratch or leverage an existing site.

I'm good at digging around in legacy code and will happily jump in and clean up, if your previous web designer has left you with an incomplete site or an unuseable mess.

It matters to me that the web site I build for you is affordable, delivered on time, meets or exceeds your functional requirements and looks great.

I know how to listen when you tell me what you need and I know how to translate those needs into a practical solution I can clearly define for you.

I understand there is risk in hiring someone over the internet, particularly if technical matters are not your everyday thing, so I share the risk with you. I provide a clear statement of work we will both agree to before getting started. There will be defined milestones with deadlines along the way to completion and you only pay if you are satisfied with what you see. My process allows us both to catch it early if our vision for the work begins to diverge, and provides the opportunity to walk away with no hard feelings if we can't see a way to get back on track.
